About 2 Million Candidates Register for 2025 JAMB: The Board further announced that a total of 200,115 students expressed interest in sitting the optional mock UTME, which is planned for 5 April 2025, adding that among these, 630 candidates have also registered for the trial mock examination, which would take place on the same date.
The Board also formally closed the registration for the 2025 UTME on Saturday, 18 March 2025, in line with its earlier assurance that there would be no extension of the registration exercise.
According to report from JAMB’s weekly bulletin, the board said, “The registration process, which began on February 3, 2025, saw a total of 2,030,627 candidates successfully complete their registration, allowing them to participate in the UTME scheduled for April 25, 2025.”
The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has reported that a total of 2,030,627 students have successfully registered for the 2025 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME), slated to commence nationwide on April 25.
This number, according to JAMB in its weekly bulletin made available to newsmen on Monday in Abuja, excludes the number of candidates who enrolled to sit the examination in overseas centers.
The board noted that the over two million candidates exclude applicants enrolled for the examination at foreign centres.
JAMB warned all candidates to rigorously adhere to examination guidelines and refrain from any dishonest practices.
